Hey guys,
Well, apparently my float is stuck on my new H. This is a 1951. I started it up and ran if for a while today, then after I shut it off I had fuel running out of the air inlet (my air tube is currently off being painted). I assume this means a stuck float.
I tried to take the carb off, but I must be missing something here. I took the two nuts off the top studs coming off the intake manifold, then removed the two screws from the governor tube, but I still can't get the carb off. I can't lower it due to the coolant drain tube directly underneath the carb, and I can't slide it rearward since it's still on the two top studs on the manifold.
Do I have to unscrew the coolant drain tube from the block? I hope not, since it's going to be a bear to get a pipe wrench on that sucker.
