My neighbor has a mid 60's Int. B-275 diesel. We have it running but it has blown out 3 glow plugs. The first 2 times the plugs were old and he had been using ether to start. I've replaced the glow plugs w/ new,(but have yet to wire them up) we pulled it to start,(no ether)got it to the barn and another plug blew out. The glow plugs appear to be melting the insulating core and blowing out the element. Different cylinders each time. They seem to be getting too hot! Motor temp is low, no ether, and the glow plugs are'nt even wired. Whats going on? Any suggestions? I've never seen that before. Thanks for any help!
