I'm thinking of going to look at a SMTA that is for sale about 3hrs away. Talked to the seller, he says there is a plate where the PTO should be. The serial # has the "S" which I think means it was set up for the IPTO. So now the questions. How hard is it to find a pto unit to put in it? How tough is it to install? If it had one originally, what would have motivated the guy who owned it at the time to take it completely out? What kindof trouble could I be getting myself into?
Only reason I'm considering this tractor is that they are few and far between here on this side of the Rockies, and it's fairly cheap. Thanks for the insight.
