Take the gas line off at the carb. and blow though the line back to the tank with an air blow gun.(turn on the petcock at the tank and remove the gas cap first)if it runs OK then you know it is the tank that is dirty and not the carb. I have a D-17 that wouldn`t run with the chock off at all and I cleaned the carb twice before I blew through the line and it runs fine now.
