TH: It is possible you have some carbon build-up in your cylinders. When the carbon gets hot, it can glow like a glow-plug in a diesel. May not be bad enough to notice any "rattle" while running, but when you turn the ignition off, it may still be igniting the gas fumes in the cylinders. You can shoot some carbon cleaner in through the carb while engine is running to knock the carbon out - or, you can inject some water through the carb (while engine is running) and it will do the same thing. Might be worth a try....? mike
