Chuck: No: there is the same coresponding adjustment on tyrod as on the axle. If you have two holes exposed on the telescoping axle then you must have two exposed notches on tyrod. Same with 3 and 3 .
Your suggestion of 55" is technically 56. Sounds to me as though you may have it set at 52" on front, with front wheels dished out.
