I just purchased a Farmall M Tractor, a 1950 model, and after getting it home and running it for about 30 minutes, it started smoking a little light colored smoke, and it would smoke a lot when you accelerate. I also found a little oil leaking out around the number 2 spark plug. There is no evidence of water in the oil, but the crankcase was about 1 to 2 quarts overfull. I pulled out the number 2 spark plug and it was, of course, covered with oil, but the engine was not missing, it runs smooth. It is also blowing a little oil out the muffler. The tractor has not been used hardly at all in the last 6 months. I have never torn into a Farmall before. Do any of you Farmall guys out there have any idea what might be wrong? Where should I start to check for the problem? Thanks for any responsed?
