Moving a pto asm. from a parts/nonworking 340 to a working 340 utility. The pto is the round style which I believe is the newer clutch style pto asm. Mounting and bolt up was no problem since the receiving tractor was set up for ipto.
How does on check and change the oil level in the pto unit? There appears to be a breather on the top center and a possible drain or level plug on the right side about 3/4 of the way down the unit. Did not see a drain plug under the unit, there maybe one just did not see it. Does the unit take Hytran oil or 80/90 gear oil?
The pto currently appears to be stuck in the "engaged" position but once I find out if the asm has any oil in it and get it changed if it does I"ll move on to that issue next.
Thanks for any advise for it is greatly appreciated. BMD
