That makes sense to me.After putting the two tractor halves together,I did adjust the rod as it was too short to reach the connection point on the clutch arm.This is my first rebuild and when I pushed the clutch pedal,my greatest fear is that I've done something wrong and have to split it again.This has involved a tractor and boom pole with a chain fall with the rear half of tractor blocked up.I'm not complaining just a poor man with poor ways.LOL Thanks for your info!!
