Well, it looks like my problem is definitely related to the generator. Everything else has been checked according to my mechanic. After running the tractor all day, it just died, no battery power. Battery charging now.
when I had the generator rebuilt, they did not replace the armature but re-wroed it. Output was at 12.4. So, I order a new-rebuilt one ($300+) which as I mentioned is even putting out less volts. My mechanic says it the armature, so I need to find a new one.
Does anyone know of a place that has armatures, not rewired but new? My tractor parts place had a real hard time locating one for the 460.
