Ted, These nozzles don’t have a hole in them as the older 330 engines do, and there is a threaded adjustable “guide” that the valve stem is fitted through, not sure what this adjustment is for, maybe a stop for the spring retainer to keep the valve from opening to far? After reinstalling the injectors I still have a few cylinders that are limping rather bad. I still have to double check the valve lash as I just replaced the head, and the inner cone holes all look like they line up with the ports in the head, but I’m still betting on the injectors being the problem.
Dave, I used a paste with a grinding compound in it that is commonly used to “lap” valves, by rotating the valve in a forward/backward motion in the seat. The compound tends to grind down the high spots giving the valve/seat a tight seal.
