If it is only smoking at idle, I would look at a fuel adjustment, my M smokes a little at idle also, but it is a fuel problem, I need to adjust the carb a little. In my opinion, raising compression by only 10 pounds when oiling the cylinders is not a lot, considering with oil, you are completely sealing the cylinder against all blow by. I would think 100-110 pounds compression would be pretty good, I would be looking at guides if it is blue smoke. Jim
