My apologies, these tractors may not be antique, but, I had just read the post about the 7588. Were all the 2+2's made by Steiger? I had assumed they rolled off the assembly line with the 86's & the two wheeled 88's. I only figure this because everything behind the pivot looks like an 86 or 88 series tractor. I am also wondering if AFS will work with the hydraulic steering setup of the 2+2 & I wonder if an auto guidance system will account for all that hood!? Also, is there a remedy for the problem of the front duals hitting the cab steps or cab corners, outside of removing them? Some kind of frame snubber or cylinder stop, maybe? These are just a few ideas I'm batting around. I'm hoping to buy one in the next few years. I had quite a few rides in a fairly new one when I was a kid (I came into this world roughly 4 mo's. after the first 2+2) & with the prices I've been seeing lately, I've been thinking a little harder about getting one of my own. Wouldn't mind hearing a few pro's & con's about these tractors from some of their owners, either. Thanks - Mike
