Hi All,
I'm working on a 1950 M that was in very rough shape. The rear end was missing several parts and one was the PTO shifter rod. The parts manual shows three different PTO assemblies.
Two have PTO shifter arms that are close to the transmission case so that the shifter rod is more or less straight, terminating in a loop that the driver would grab onto to engage the PTO. I don't have this PTO style on my tractor.
I have the third PTO type. It has a shifter leaver that is further from the transmission casting and has a PTO shifter rod that is longer and bent back so it can attach to the shifter rod leaver under the shield at its lower end, and terminates under the driver's seat with a 90 degree bend - not the loop.
I've tried to get the correct shifter rod from my favorite salvage yard but they've sent the wrong style - twice. I finally just bought the round stock to make my own, and am wondering if anyone has a picture and or a few critical dimensions that might help me get the pattern right.
