Howdy, I back with another value question about H"s. I found an H with a front loader I forget what company made the loader. I think I would need to rebuild the carb, but it started alright. The steering was very tight, no slop at all. The rear tires were weather checked but held air and they weren"t missing any rubber. (I"ve seen some where you could see the nylon cords) Fronts and rears probably had 85-90% tread. Pto shaft worked and so did the pulley drive. The shafts on the front loader had some rust spots on them. The tractor needed to be sanded down and repainted, the paint was very bad. It also had the cultivator plate and rear wheel weights. The clutch was sticky when we first started to mess with it, (its been sitting out in the rain and weather) but we were able to free it by depressing the clutch several times. Once we had it running it started a little rich, but burned no oil at all, it didn"t over heat and had good oil pressure. The engine only missed once, and it was while it was being throttled down. All the gears worked and there was no excessive noise out of the transmission. Brakes seemed a little mushy but were responsive. So my question is: is this tractor worth $1600, and with my description do you think its field ready?
