I had a guy tell me that all Farmall's suchas the H's and M's came with fenders originally. Then farmers took them off as to ease in adjusting rear tire widths. Doesn't sound right. I can adjust my rear tires without having to remove fenders (if I had them). An old photoof my grandfather's 44 H did not show any fenders. The photo was taken in '47. Anybody heard of this story? Thanks. Oh, after 2 years, I have my daughter's '44 H running and getting ready to install the newly painted sheet metal on it. She is 2 1/2 and she knows that is her tractor.
