I'm posting this for my dad who has a Super C that he bought last fall. The tractor was already restored but had sat for a couple yrs before it went to auction. Ever since he bought it, it hasn't ran right. It will idle ok, but as soon as you either rev the throttle up or put it under a load (in gear) the tractor starts stuttering and dying. He bought a kit for the carb and had a friend rebuild it. It ran fine for an hour after he put it on and then the tractor went back to running bad again. HE says the sediment bowl looks clean still. He said the carb had alot of black stuff in it when they took it apart to rebuild. Could something in the fuel line be making it run poorly? Thanks, Matt.
