While finishing up before testing whether the '49 Cub will start (it was dead when I bought it), I decided to fasten the coil to something other than the hood. After cleaning out the holes on the distributor which, I think, are for mounting the coil, I found a piece of scrap aluminum. I used my mini-mill to clean up the aluminum a bit as well as to mill the holes for three bolts 5/16X18 bolts. Today is the day I put fuel in the test gas tank and see what happens when I pull the starter lever.
