I have a C that is a 1950, the casting date on the engine would indicate that it is a 1954. I have the engine apart, and I put new sleeve seals in. The engine was rebuilt, and it has stepped top pistons. One of the pistons is messed up, and the top ring groove is smashed down. I broke the top ring taking it out, so I need some rings for the piston.
How do I know what I have? What is the best way to measure?
There are 3 solid rings on the piston, and then an oil control set(thin ring-corrugated ring-thin ring). So, in total, there are 6 rings on the piston.
