if the pilot bearing was ever greased too much it may be slipping because of that. I just had a clutch slipping problem fixed on my 23 Olds 1 ton truck. It would slip sometimes going up hills and also was hard to get in gear because it was dragging. Book said to flush out the clutch with kero. Brake cleaner would be better. Did it and by golly it works like a new one now. Whewww! I thought I was going to have to pull it apart which might be as tough as splitting a tractor and then go through all heckfire trying to find parts for it.
