Read the instructions on the can. It will say "recoat within X hours or after Y days." Most paint I've used the values are 4 hours and 7 days. 3 days is within that "do not recoat" timeframe.
Enamel paints like IH2150 take weeks to cure. You could still smell the paint curing on Dad's 400 over a month after he painted it. He used IH2150.
With lacquers and enamels, ifyou spray new paint over partially-cured aint, the solvents in the new paint reactivate the old paint, but not uniformly, because some of the paint is more cured than the other.
Your body man couldn't have been much of a body man if he didn't know this. Modern epoxy paints that are sandable and tapeable in 15 minutes haven't been around that long.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
