I was repairing a leak where the transmission driven hydraulic pump on my 340 is mounted. When I pulled the mounting plate off, I noticed that the gear on the pump had one tooth chip. I then noted that the PTO gear has a tremendous amount of play. From looking at the parts diagram, I am assuming that it is a bad bearing and race where the shaft sits. The question, I have is can this be replaced without splitting the tractor.
