Raymond, I"m no help in your quest, but in fact had a question for you and maybe Hugh if he checks back on this thread. I"ve never heard of an ACE bottom, but I"m not a plow expert & don't claim to be one either. This fall an uncle of mine did some plowing and used a plow that had what he called a "Scottish Bottom" on it. I'd never heard of such a thing so asked him about it and he said they have a larger, longer, heavier point for breaking up hard & rocky ground. Are these the same thing but being called different names, by chance? You mention you"re in the UK, so thought I"d ask if "Scottish Bottom" is a term for a plow that you might be familiar with. We have the same last name, by the way...
