I have a Farmall A I recently bought, (Ser #FAA 134037). I now have it running by starting it with the crank. The starter and generator are in very poor condition and I doubt they can be salvaged. On the starter, the back plate is broken in half so I doubt it can be repaired. The generator is in pieces and the springs for the brushes are broken. Can anyone tell me what starters and generators (6 volt) are interchangeable with a Farmall A? Can I use a starter for a B, C, H, or M and likewise can I use a generator from any of them?
