When I got my 330 running this spring I had trouble like this. If you held my carb up to the sun you could see through between the bowl and the body the gasket was all dried out and shriveled up. I showed it to the crew in the shop at the dealership and one old timer pronounced that he figured the machine had sat at least 10 years.
I put a brand new strainer bowl under my tank. The old one was plugged with corrosion. Two weeks later I was having the troubles you describe and I pulled the assembly and the entire inlet where it's threaded to go in the tank was plugged with rusty sediment. This after removing and thoroughly cleaning the gas tank.
