I have been approached by a friend about buying his early Louisville Super M. It is a '52 model, serial number 501227. I feel this is a rare opportunity because this tractor IS RIGHT. I believe one would be hard pressed to find another in this condition. It was purchased new by his neighbor, and he is the second owner. He himself was an IH mechanic for many years. It is quite obvious that this tractor has always been shedded and received the best of care. The sheetmetal has never been dented, the grill is 100% straight, and the grill insert is present. The tractor is a narrow front, has the battery box under the fuel tank, does not have live hydraulics, and has the teardrop style headlights. It has the original style throttle lever, excellent steering wheel, belt pulley, fenders, and wheel weights. The tractor has a nice, presentable paint job which does have some nicks and small scratches from use. The tires have decent tread, but do have some cracking, and should be replaced sometime. What is the approximate value of this tractor?
