Dear K-MO I differ on your opinion on the use of a TA. It can be run all day every day for years in TA (reduction) with no ill effects. There are no warnings on the use except to avoid coasting down hill faster than that gear with TA back. We have tractors that hafe spent 1/2 of their life in TA and still have the original ramp and rollers. The system is robust when cared for, and shifted fast fron direct to TA, and TA to direct. (swift movement of the Lever) Kevin Meier on this sight sells all the parts to repair them, and the ramp/rollers can be replaced seperately. The trans should have Hytran in it. I agree with all your other assertions. TAs are tough. JimN
