I"ve got a 1930 Farmall Regular with the brass "snail shell" carb. The tractor runs but I have to keep it almost fully choked or it dies out. I"ve had that carb apart a dozen times. Everything is clean and passages open, new cork float, and reset fuel level in bowl up to where it"s just beneath the (overflow?) tube. A test with ether shows no leaks around head or manifold and plenty of fuel out of the feed line (no problems with sediment bowl or filter screen). Anyone out there have any ideas? It"s not an overly complicated carb -just not getting fuel into the engine for some reason.
