I've always heard that the reason the johnny poppers are so pricey is because there aren't as many of them as there are Farmall Hs and Ms.
That and John Deere has always done a great job of marketing. From a marketing perspective, "International Harvester" has way too many syllables... They may as well have called the company Amalgamated Agricultural Machinery Corporation Limited... Make a song out of that! :)
