No tractor mechanic worth his salt will ever stumble blindly into an unfamiliar tractor with no reference material. You need the service manual and owner's manual at the very least. They're as invaluable and necessary as a set of SAE combination wrenches.
Reprints are available from many sources online. Maybe the website barfed on my references before, so let's try "binder books dot com" (with no space). See if the owner of the tractor or the shop teacher will pony up for the manuals. You can't put a price on the information you'll learn from these.
You will especially want the Touch Control service manual. That one's online. Probably not a legal copy, but nobody's bothered them yet. Look for a link to the "Cub Manual Server" at "farmall cub dot com" (again with no spaces).
