I just picked up a 1954 Farmall 400. I brought it Home on a flat bed. In order to get it started, I had to re-connect the spark plug wires in the correct firing order. After starting, the 400 runs rough rough, misses, backfires and has low power. I noticed the inside of the distributor cap was wet and oily. I assume there must be a seal or bushing on the shaft that needs to be replaced. However, I haven't been able to locate one on-line. Would the local IH-Case dealer have one or should I pony up for a rebuilt distributor? Thanks for your help.
