With a little help from Fawteen's pictures I have a good way to add electric start to my F14. It is not of course factory original parts, in fact most of them I am having to fabricate.
The problem I have run into is matching a ring gear and starter. Locating a ring gear that would even work proved to be a challenge in itself, but I have located 2. Dimensionally both would work. The starter however is proving to be more a challenge.
The ring gear I would prefer to use is from a 30's model IHC truck. A C5 or D5. Anyone have a lead as to find what starter went with this truck. (I am hoping Delco, as they seem to be easiest to mix and match parts) None of the auto parts stores in my area even have a listing for it, and after much searching on the internet I have not had much luck.
