Well the more I work on this tractor the more I find myself tearing it all the way down. About the only thing I wont be touching is the transmission internals. The brakes and clutch were frozen solid as well as all the pins that hold everything together. My wife and friends think I am crazy for putting about $1200 into a 60 yr. old tractor that I paid $500 for. Maybe I am. But, it is great time w/ my 6 yr. old that is learning to use his tools and can get me about whatever tool I ask for. I tell my friends its crazy to go and spend $50 at the bar, heck, that's a new light that will last longer than their brain cells. I don't know exactly what I am doing but am learning along the way. I have done several cub cadets but these are a much different animal. Might even buy a little sandblaster. When I am in the shop with my son there is no recession and no political b.s. Just bloody knuckles, stuck bolts, and great memories being made. What is the price for that? Thanks for all your help!
