If I change to an alternator,do I still have to change the voltage regulator? The reason to change to a negative ground from positive is if you put anything like a radio or something on without isolating it form the metal,you fry it.I had to mount it on a piece of wood to keep it isolated. Other than that ,I don't have any reason except it doesn't put out enough for the extra lights. Thanks, Wayne.
