This isn't the one I was trying to start. This motor was in bad shape. It isn't that he forgot the seals, he has had the motor for 6 months and we are just not moving. After 3 months of him trying to get parts, I got on it and between Darrel Alderson and Fordson, I had the parts in less than 2 weeks. This motor has new pistons, rings, valves, gaskets - I guess everything but the crank and block.
The other motor that I was trying to start ALMOST fired. wasn't getting fuel through the manifold that was all cracked up. It was trying to fire but just wouldn't go. A good enough test though. I have new gaskets and rings for that motor. I am thinking about hauling it 7 hours up to Darrell and have him go through it. I think it is time for a shop with experience with these tractors.
