Put a can under the carb and drain fuel from the float bowl into the can. THere should be a steady and strong stream the size of a 16d nail or better for at least 3 or four minutes. If it does flow well then fuel supply is OK. A manifold that is cracked can do that trick. As it heats, the manifold expands and causes an increasing air leak that leans out one or more cylinders. To check use a propane torch (Little bottles), unscrew the nozzle to allow propane (not a mix of air and propane) to come out of the small tube. Start the tractor, and with a modest flow of propane, see if mooving the source around on the manifold area makes it run better. If it it leaking at a gasket, or external crack, it will pick up speed. Allowing propane into the intake at the carb will also richen it and if lean make it run better. If the intake is cracked, or has a hole into the exhaust manifold, it will not show up with the propane trick. Be aware of fire hazzard, and outside is best to do this experiment. JimN
