Thanks for your response, If you run across those valves and would be willing to measure them for me I would really appreciate it. I am hoping to find dimensionally equivalent valves by an aftermarket valve company such as "Sealed Power" or "TRW." Thirty to fourty bucks per valve and valve guide is a little much for me. If I cannot find a cheaper alternative I might just have to let my old hoe continue to smoke. Fill up the oil and check the gas! My email is xusajetmech@hughes.net.

I know where there are a couple of used heads, but none will be cheap. Prices are getting out of this world. Tractor junkyard near me has a 3414 and a 354 tractor, both with BC144 engines.
I was looking for a spare carburetor to rebuild (British Zenith VN or VNN). The place wanted $200 for used carb that had been out in the weather for years. $50 would of been high. I finally found a place in England that has them brand new for $140 each.
