Farmalls...Why do we do this?

Maybe its the holidays...maybe its the holiday spirits. Regardless, I get a bit reflective at this time of year so.......I am probably, as my wife says, 'Obsessed' with my Farmall tractor. I admit it. How many more of us are out there? From just this site...is this place great?...It seems that there must be a large number and an extraordinary mix of tractor types out there. The spectrum runs from rank amatuers (no problem, we were all there once...just at verying ages...I'm up there in moon age but a babe in IH age)to what appear to be master Farmall guys...mechanics AND historians. Is it not tremendous that Guy Fay graces us with his resources and obvious love for the Red? Back to my point...I am an Engineering and Reliablity manager who was raised on the farm, bought my first H with my paper money and now 'farm' my estate with a SMTA. I need an MTD 42" cut, but I have a SMTA with a 6 foot hog. How did we get to this? Should YT open up a section like AA but for Farmall guys? I know, there are a bunch of you guys out there actually using the units for what they were indended but us Farmall junkies may need help. If any of you have taken the time to read through this ramble of mine...thank you. My intent is, who are we? Let us know...family is Chrismas...it seems as if we have a sort of YT Farmall family here...Woody in Asland.
