Durk: As you know, I had my SA and 130 a long time. In 1992 when I converted SA to 6 volt alternator, I also converted 130 to 12 volt alternator. I have to say it was best move I ever made with these little tractors. I don't change points, condencers, coils, rotors or caps near as often. Not near as many starter problems, and batteries are lasting much longer.
I have to credit it all to the much better charging system, no longer am I operating with half charged batteries.
