Ok guys I think I am starting to confuse myself so am asking for some help. I have the following scenarios:
SH with 12V battery, Alternator, 12V igniton coil and ceramic resistor, 12V lights.
300 with 12V batter, 6V Generator, 6V ignition coil and ceramic resistor, 12V lights.
400 with 12V battery and nothing else hooked up.
I just bought the 400 and none of the electrical is hooked up. Assumed to be all original components and generator is shot. Looks like an alternator and 12V ignition coil will be cheaper than a rebuilt generator. My question is: why does the SH have a ceramic resistor??? Does it really need it having a 12V ignition coil? Thank you!!
