Thanks. I will give the bumper spring adjustment a try today. I bought this tractor from a neighbor. He had bought it at an auction. It had been completely rebuilt and repainted and my neighbor had not used it much. He found a M and wanted to sell it.
I really haven"t used it much. The throttle would work fine and it would slow idle when I first bought it. I did use it some for hay last summer and it developed an odd surge issue at high idle. I believe the high idling did start at the end of the hay season. I am thinking it could just need that bumber screw adjustment. I will check to see if that carb throttle plate is tight too.
