just got back from a service call on a 706 that i sold 15 years ago and NO THERE WAS NO WARRANTY LEFT . The guy parked it is a shed over winter and went to get it out and nothing he installed a new battery and still nothing . I get this call and the first words out of his mouth was HELP , tractor won't do nothing . Them MECESS did the number on the wiring harness From the carb to the alt. to the dash .Hungry little critter ate clean thru the 8 ga hot wire from the alt to the hot post on the starter. Good thing that when parked he pulled the battery as they ate thru that wire wright next to the fuel tank and why it did not short out when he put the new battery in only god knows for sure on that one as i don't . So Boys check your wiring after letting them set .
