I have a neighbor who had to vehicles (one his and one the company vehicle he drives) Vandalized by squirrels. Did 2-3,000 damage on each one. They chewed about every wire they could find. On the pickup he went to start it and had nothing, so he opend the hood and ther sat a squirel on the engine kind of laughingat him Didn't last too long though. "Spiced" corn thinned them out.
