I have fixed this problem on my H and also on cars. The problem is usually too much headspace - over time the gears wear right into the cover. The headspace should be about .001 english. I took the cver off and ground the inner side flat. I also ground the body face down. I put it back together with no gasket ( which is really a headspace shim) and the oil pressure is fine.
