Well as for the lack of stampings i can not say on yours , it could have had the deck milled at one time and nobody restamped And with out micing each hole then it turns into a craps shoot . Myself i prefer the press fitting as to the freezing and before any sleeve goes in a bore gauge is used to check the bore from top to bottom all around the bore then and only then is a sleeve selected . Same goes for the pistons as i check sizes on all pistons and compare to the bore and hand fit each one to the hole that it is going into But that is just me . If i have to deck a block then i stamp the deck with the amount taken off and if there are bore classes stamped into the deck i re stamp same goes for any of the heads that i had milled they were stamped with the amount removed now ah days nobody takes the time for this .
