Originally, if it was a kerosene/distillate tractor, it'd have a small aux tank in front (on the right) of the main tank, and the manifold would be different, with a heat shield over it. But they've been changed so much over the years, it comes down to the serial number. If it has X1 after the number, it was made for gas only. If it has nothing after, than it's an "all fuel".
Cast numbers were cast in to their parts. The engine's cast is on the right front of the block, and should be the same as the serial number on the plate located on the left of the clutch housing.
