I have a Farmall 656 (1965) with the 5-speed manual transmission. It's always been iffy shifting, and now it's gotten to the point where all I have is 1st and reverse. I can no longer move the lever sideways. I have an I&T manual and a parts book. I'm going to try to tackle this myself. What's in store for me, and is this common in these tractors? There must be some way to lube the lever mechanism, but I don't see it, yet. Thanks for any input you might have.
