I just bought a Farmall M Tractor and haven"t worked on the M"s very much. It ran a little rough so I took the carb apart and cleaned it out and put a kit in it. Now I can get the tractor to run very smooth but it just doesn"t want to idle down to a slow idle. I have adjusted the throttle stop screw, and have it backed out till the engine doesn"t slow down any more and I have the mixture about right too, but if I push on the govenor rod to try to get it to slow down more, it will kill the engine. Can any of you Farmall guys out there tell me what the problem may be? Thanks for any help!
