I picked up a 1950 MD, and all the wiring is missing. It has a magneto, and I need to know how does the manifold switch get wired in? The manifold switch has 2 terminals, same as my 53 superMD with a distributor. The guy I bought it from said it didn't have a mag, or distributor on it when he got it,so he put the mag on it,and never did any more. Are the manifold switches the same for both set ups? I know one wire goes to the mag, but then what? I know the switch opens on the SMD when it switches to diesel, but does'nt it have to ground the mag out when it switches to diesel? Thank's for any help!
