The distributor type switch on your manifold opens the circut when switched to diesel. Magneto type grounds when switched to diesel. Guess if you wanted, a manual on off switch with one side grounded could be used,or a if you remember to ground mag after switching over to diesel. Or a IH magneto type on off switch used on M and others. If it came with a distributor and you would like it to stay that way. Finding a Distributor from a 400 or 450 diesel shouldn't be to hard.
